Split #6 — the solution

The three rounds from October 5, 2026: twelve numbers each, split into four groups of three that add to the target — the one way each round allows, with its decoys and where the reasoning starts.

Round 1 — target 33

The numbers: 9, 18, 4, 12, 6, 20, 16, 15, 1, 2, 19, 10. 3 decoys.

The groups: 9 + 18 + 6, 4 + 19 + 10, 12 + 20 + 1, 16 + 15 + 2.

The decoys — triples that add to 33 but are not in the answer: 9 + 4 + 20; 12 + 6 + 15; 12 + 2 + 19.

Where to start: 18, 16, 1 and 10 sit in only one on-target triple, so their groups are certain — start there.

Round 2 — target 33

The numbers: 18, 7, 12, 15, 6, 19, 8, 11, 13, 17, 2, 4. 5 decoys.

The groups: 18 + 13 + 2, 7 + 15 + 11, 12 + 17 + 4, 6 + 19 + 8.

The decoys — triples that add to 33 but are not in the answer: 18 + 7 + 8; 18 + 11 + 4; 12 + 15 + 6; 12 + 19 + 2; 12 + 8 + 13.

Where to start: 17 sits in only one on-target triple, so its group is certain — start there.

Round 3 — target 24

The numbers: 14, 2, 7, 11, 12, 1, 18, 8, 6, 4, 10, 3. 6 decoys.

The groups: 14 + 7 + 3, 2 + 18 + 4, 11 + 12 + 1, 8 + 6 + 10.

The decoys — triples that add to 24 but are not in the answer: 14 + 2 + 8; 14 + 6 + 4; 2 + 12 + 10; 7 + 11 + 6; 11 + 10 + 3; 12 + 8 + 4.

Where to start: 1 and 18 sit in only one on-target triple, so their groups are certain — start there.
