Round by round
A round scores 100 for a guess within a small margin of the truth and falls in a straight line to 0 for a wild one; the day is the average of the five. The pictures are the game — these are the figures behind them.
- Center. This arc is part of a circle. Where is its center? The arc was 134° of its circle, 37% of the way round. The shorter the arc, the less it says about its center.
- Average. Where is the average height of these bars? 8 bars, at 53, 31, 65, 100, 58, 24, 33 and 32% of the tallest. Their average is 49%, below the halfway line.
- Mark. Mark 1/6 of the way along the line, starting from the dot. 1/6 is 17% of the way along the line from the dot.
- Path. The squiggle is how many bars long? The squiggle bends 3 times. End to end in a straight line it spans 2.3 bars; along the curve it is 4.6.
- Count. How many dots? You get three seconds. 63 dots, shown for three seconds, in a cloud about 79% of the picture wide.
